Godzilla vs. Kong on Skull Island, acrylic on canvas, 2020

From its first appearance in 1954 until now, Godzilla, the dinosaur-like Japanese movie monster, had its design evolved and made numerous monster allies and enemies. Allies include the pterosaur-like Rodan and the moth-like Mothra, while Godzilla's enemies include the three-headed dragon, King Ghidorah. After almost 60 years since their first fight, Godzilla will face the gigantic gorilla King Kong once again in 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong

Ultraman

Ultra Seven vs. Eleking, acrylic on canvas, 2020

Ultraman Taro vs. Birdon, acrylic on canvas, 2020

Airing its first series in 1966, the Ultraman franchise defined the term Ultraman as a group of alien superheroes who defend the universe from evil beings and huge monsters. Throughout its over 50-year history, there is a wide range of Ultramen, including Ultra Seven and Ultraman Taro, each having a variety of special powers.

Transformers

Optimus Prime, acrylic on canvas, 2020

Megatron, acrylic on canvas, 2020

Bumblebee and Ravage, acrylic on canvas, 2020

Transformers have been a fan favorite for generations since the 1980's when they released their first cartoon series in 1984. The franchise itself is based on toys which are designed to change from robots to other forms such as vehicles and even animals (which are made popular with the Beast Wars series). The franchise is made more popular with the Transformers live-action movie series which began in 2007. These artworks are seemingly inspired by the Transformers War For Cybertron: Siege animated series which aired on Netflix during the production of these paintings.
